Bastard by Definition - Lyric Reddick -Hip-Hop/Rap- Topeka, Ks

Rolondo Reddick, better known as, and preferentially referred to as Lyric Reddick, a Topeka, Kansas Hip-Hop & Rap artist, is a Cali native that made the trek to the mid-west sometime during his youth. This man has been through triumph and tribulations, including what you might have guessed from his Mix-Tape title, being a "Bastard". Alas the further I delve into the life of the man known as Lyric the further it will take us away from his music, or will it? Lyric is a survivor much like his art. Its known that the young man has already landed in the ICU for health issues, but all that did is make him stronger. The man in the album art is much smaller that the man that I first met, and he works as hard at maintaining proper health as he does on his music. He attributes his transformation into the music monster himself from his failed attempt to attract women in middle school through "poems", and has tracks on the release that definitely show his wordsmith abilities.

My personal favorite track on 'Bastard by Definition' is "Take Me Away" where the lyrics produce steady punch-lines, and his obvious thoughts on survival in the music industry.
